Marty Travis of downstate Fairbury, Il., is recognized for authentic reproductions of many Shaker pieces. He is one of three Shaker artisans invited to exhibit at Hancock Shaker Community in Massachusetts and has pieces on exhibit at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA.

Marty's furniture can be seen in the Chicago executive offices of Blue Cross/Blue Shield and he was invited to create an ornament (a stack of three oval Shaker boxes) for the 1999 National Christmas Tree at the White House.
